seo-driven strategic blogging is crucial for traffic growth to your site.

I know this must sound repetitive, but I can’t emphasize enough the importance of consistent SEO-driven blogging.

In this course, I’ve shown you how to generate blog post topics based on keyword research and I’ve taught you how to structure each blog post for optimal performance before publishing.

Now- I just want to stress how imperative blogging is, in case you haven’t completely internalized that you must do it, despite all my pleas 😅

If you want to grow your website traffic and reach your target audience, blogging is not optional, it’s necessary.

Consistent SEO Blogging Tips

  1. Get a planner: If you don’t use one already, I recommend getting an analogue planner that stays on your desk. Each evening, I add tomorrow’s must-do tasks to my planner. Blogging needs to be added to this to-do list each week, however you want to work it in.

  2. Decide on the schedule you’re going to adhere to: I have several different Squarespace sites, and I make sure to publish one new blog post each week for all of them. This means, I designate time to work on each one throughout the week in order to make sure all sites get a new blog post that week. If you just have one website, you can decide how you want to break up the work— maybe you want to write the entire post in one sitting, or maybe you want to spread it out over four days, working on it a little each day. Whatever works for you, just be consistent! Treat blogging as part of your workload each week, not as a whimsical “if you feel like doing it” kind of thing.

  3. Publish at least one new blog post every two weeks*. This kind of content marketing schedule will really grow your site over time. In 2019, I tested this by writing a new blog post every single day for one of my niche websites. In just three months, I managed to triple my site traffic!

This needs to be prefaced though by saying that quality does matter more than quantity, so don’t churn out blog posts just for the sake of getting them out there-Google will rank thorough comprehensive content higher, so if you aren’t able to publish new blog posts frequently while maintaining quality, definitely go for less blog posts with higher quality.

  4. Request indexing as soon as you publish a new post: After you publish the new post, remember to request indexing using Google Search Console for the specific URL (covered in Lesson 5.1). Be sure to use the actual domain URL as visitors to your site see it, not the built-in domain Squarespace automatically gives you.

  5. Share on social media: Once you publish a new blog post, be sure to share it around your social media networks such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Reddit, etc. I recommend creating a graphic for the blog post using free easy to use software such as Canva, graphics with imagery and the blog post title perform best on social media, especially Pinterest.

The more you repeat this process and get used to blogging, the easier it will become and the more efficiently you’ll be able to produce new posts each week.
